Why this role matters
AI is the core of our product. You'll help build the intelligence behind Coco AI: the assistant that helps compliance professionals interpret regulations, run assessments, maintain registers, and collaborate with clients, all in one place. You'll save give our users superpowers - and save enormous amounts of time, to work on things that truly matter.
What you’ll do
Build and improve our agentic layer to do a growing range of tasks, reliably and effortlessly.
Work on retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines with vector DBs.
Tackle real-world AI challenges: hallucinations, bias, explainability, privacy.
Collaborate with compliance experts to turn rules and regulations into AI-usable knowledge graphs & tasks.
Prototype fast, test with users, and scale what works.
What we’re looking for
Strong in Python + ML/AI frameworks.
You’ve shipped something with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, local models, doesn’t matter, you’ve been in the trenches).
Comfortable with data pipelines, embeddings, retrieval, and evaluation.
You’re pragmatic: you know when to hack with APIs and when to build something custom.
Curious about legal & compliance, you don’t need to be a lawyer, but you care about automating complex legal decision-making.
Bonus points if:
You’ve built AI assistants and agentic systems.
You’ve touched explainability / evaluation tooling.
You’ve dealt with data privacy constraints in ML before.
