Tim: "Compliance is constantly evolving, and so are the risks and challenges we face as practitioners. AI has seen significant development, and compliance needs to keep pace, recognizing risks that already exist as well as those we can't yet foresee. That's the real challenge: focusing on a future we can't fully predict."
Kris: "One of the biggest challenges for privacy experts is balancing legal rules, risk mitigation, and the different privacy frameworks already in use across the field. Adapting those frameworks to new ways of working, for our customers, isn't always easy."

Tim: "Traditional workflows aren't enough anymore. Something like ChatGPT is powerful for speeding up processes, but the complexity of GDPR and AI compliance is a different story."
Kris: "Generic AI tools aren't enough for serious compliance work, because as a legal professional, it's essential that I understand how the output is generated. I have to explain this to my customers, and they have to explain it to their users. Transparency isn't optional, it's the job."

Second, there's efficiency: AI lets us offload operational work so we can focus on strategic and tactical priorities. Honestly, that's what compliance professionals actually want to be doing, rather than just writing procedures and policy."

That matters to me as a privacy expert, since I need checks and balances on my own work. If I revisit something two weeks later and have to explain it to a customer, I need to be able to see exactly how that answer was generated, and adjust it if needed."
